Al-Ghusl linguistically means, covering the whole body with water.

Legally Al-Ghusl means covering the whole body with water in a particular manner with the intention of worshiping Allah, Exalted and High is He.

The following short video explains the acts that necessitate having a bath and it illustrates in detail the common cases of having a wet dream. Then, the video describes the perfect method of performing the ghusl mentioning the required acts and the supererogatory acts as well. After that, the video mentions some important points that a woman has to follow while offering the bath after sexual intercourse, the end of menstrual period, or post natal-bleeding.

Finally, the video sheds some light on the supererogatory baths that a Muslim should be aware of to gain the reward of following the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Enjoy watching this interesting video to learn how to perform ghusl (ritual cleansing of the body).
