Ali bin Abdullah al-Aydarus was a Ba Alawi scholar of Tarim. Al-Mashra al-Rawi records that he memorised the Quran under Abdullah bin Umar Bagharib, studied foundational texts and pursued jurisprudence and tasawwuf with Abd al-Rahman bin Alawi Bafaqih and other scholars of his period.
The source describes Ali as active in teaching and service to people in and around Tarim. It also preserves numerous devotional accounts about him; these are part of the traditional manaqib record and are not presented here as independently verified historical events.
A later historical compilation identifies him as Ali bin Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Husayn bin Abdullah al-Aydarus, likewise places him in Tarim, names Abdullah bin Umar Bagharib and Abd al-Rahman bin Alawi Bafaqih among his teachers, and records his death in 1078 AH.

Because the mapped OCR section does not preserve the closing death line cleanly, the death year 1078 AH is taken from a later historical compilation that independently gives the same identity and teacher chain. Traditional miracle narratives are not asserted as independent historical fact.
