What we collect and why

The BaAlawi Notes newsletter asks only for an email address and explicit consent to receive preservation, correction, research and community updates. Public subscriptions are handled by the dedicated BaAlawi.com list in Sendy and require double opt-in before becoming active. You can unsubscribe using the link provided in newsletter emails. Newsletter email addresses are not used as lineage verification, certification or public profile information. In local development, newsletter submissions are only validated as a dry run and are neither stored nor transmitted.

BaAlawi.com collects only information needed for a stated purpose. If contribution intake is enabled, a private review record may include the contributor email, contribution type, submitted note, consent, an optional source or video URL and a received-at timestamp. Contributor email is not rendered as public archive content. Sensitive identity documents, passwords, private family records and private correspondence should not be submitted through a public contribution form. Publication does not certify lineage or endorse religious claims.

BaAlawi.com aims to collect only information needed for the stated purpose and to keep private submissions out of public archive content unless a separate review and publication process applies. Other private, contribution, membership and family-record workflows have their own access, retention and release safeguards as they are introduced.
