رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ " لَيَكُونَنَّ بَعْدَ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ مَلِكًا مِنْ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ " ، قِيلَ لَهُ : أَخُلَفَاءُ ؟ قَالَ : " بَلْ مُلُوكٌ " .
