رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : " مُثِّلَتِ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى طَائِرٍ ، فَالْبَصْرَةُ وَمِصْرُ جَنَاحَانِ ، وَإِذَا خَرِبَا وَقَعَ الأَمْرُ " .
