إِذَا حَدَّثَ وَكَثُرَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ جَاءَ بِكُتُبٍ فَأَلْقَاهَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : هَذِهِ أَحَادِيثُ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَكَتَبْتُهَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَعَرَضْتُهَا عَلَيْهِ " .
