أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصْبِحُ حَتَّى يُظْهِرَ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَصْبَحْتُ ، وَمَا أُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ ، وَمَا أَكَلْتُ مِنْ طَعَامٍ وَلا شَرَابٍ مُنْذُ الْيَوْمِ ، وَلأَصُومَنَّ يَوْمِي هَذَا " .
