فَطَافَ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَطْوَافٍ ، حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ فِي النَّاسِ عِنْدَ وَسَطِ الْحِجْرِ ، قِيلَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ ، فَأَتَمَّ لِتِسْعَةِ أَطْوَافٍ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّمَا الطَّوَافُ وِتْرٌ " .
