كَانَ يَضْرِبُ أَيْدِي الرِّجَالِ فِي رَجَبٍ إِذَا رَفَعُوا عَنْ طَعَامِهِ حَتَّى يَضَعُوا فِيهِ ، وَيَقُولُ : " إِنَّمَا هُوَ شَهْرٌ كَانَ أَهْلُ الجاهلية يُعَظِّمُونَهُ " .
