كَانَ يَبِيعُ الثَّمَرَ مِنْ غُلامِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْدُوَ إِصْلاحُهُ ، وَيَقُولُ : " لَيْسَ بَيْنَ الْعَبْدِ وَبَيْنَ سَيِّدِهِ رِبًا " .
