أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : " اسْمُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الَّذِي سَمَّاهُ أَهْلُهُ بِهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَلَكِنْ غَلَبَ عَلَيْهِ اسْمُ عَتِيقٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ " .
