ذَكَرَهُ أَبِي ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَعِينٍ , أَنَّهُ قِيلَ لَهُ : " عَطَاءُ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ لَقِيَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : لَا أَعْلَمُهُ " .
