أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو نَصْرٍ , عَنِ الأَصْمَعِيِّ : " الْحِرْجُ : الْوَدَعُ , وَالْحِرْجُ : مَا جُعِلَ لِلْكَلْبِ مِمَّا يَصِيدُ , وَالْحِرْجُ : خَيَالٌ يُنْصَبُ وَالْحَرْجَفُ : الرِّيحُ الْبَارِدَةُ الشَّدِيدَةُ الْهُبُوبُ " .
