أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو نَصْرٍ , عَنِ الأَصْمَعِيِّ ، قَالَ : " الْمَلَّةُ : الرَّمَادُ الْحَارُّ , يُقَالُ : خُبْزُ مَلَّةٍ , وَالْخُبْزُ يُسَمَّى الْمَلِيلَ , يُقَالَ : مَلَّ خُبْزَتَهُ يُمَلُّهَا مَلا " .
