أَخْبَرَنَا سَلَمَةُ ، عَنِ الْفَرَّاءِ : " الْقَارِعَةُ سورة القارعة آية 1 : الْقِيَامَةُ ، وَالْقَرَّاعُ : طَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْقَارٌ غَلِيظٌ أَعْقَفُ ، يَأْتِي الْعُودَ الْيَابِسَ فَلا يَزَالُ يَقْرَعُهُ وَيَدْخُلُ فِيهِ " .
