وَأَخْبَرني أَبُو نَصْرٍ ، عَنِ الأَصْمَعِيِّ : " الشَّطُوطُ مِنَ الإِبِلِ : الضَّخْمَةُ السَّنَامِ ، وَالْجَمِيعُ شَطَائِطُ ، وَالْمَشَائِطُ : اللَّوَاتِي يُسْرِعْنَ السِّمَنَ مِنَ الإِبِلِ نَاقَةٌ مِشْيَاطٌ " .
