وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو نَصْرٍ ، عَنِ الأَصْمَعِيِّ : يُقَالُ : " هَاجَ الْفَحْلُ هِيَاجًا وَهَيْجًا ، وَاهْتَاجَ اهْتِيَاجًا ، وَهَاجَ الشَّرُّ بَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ ، وَهَاجَ الْبَقْلُ : اصْفَرَّ ، يُقَالُ ذَلِكَ لِكُلِّ ثَائِرٍ لِضَرَرِهِ " .
