أَخْبَرَنَا سَلَمَةُ , عَنِ الْفَرَّاءِ : الرَّاوِيَةُ : الْجَمَلُ الَّذِي يُسْتَقَى عَلَيْهِ , أَوِ الْحِمَارُ , وَكُلُّ مَا اسْتَقَى الْقَوْمُ عَلَيْهِ فَهُوَ رَاوِيَةٌ ، وَلا يُقَالُ : لِلْمَزَادَةِ رَاوِيَةٌ .
