رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَالصَّلاةُ قَائِمَةٌ ، فَقُلْتُ : افْرِضْ لِي يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، فَقَالَ : " تَأَخَّرْ يَا غُلامُ " ، فَمَا زَالَ يَقُولُ تَأَخَّرْ يَا غُلامُ حَتَّى جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ ، فَقَالَ : اسْتَوَتِ الصُّفُوفُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَكَبِّرْ " .
