رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حِينَ أَوْصَى النَّفَرَ الْخَمْسَةَ فَوَلَّوْا ، مَالَ بِرَأْسِهِ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنْ يُوَلُّوا عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُصِيبُوا خَيْرَهُمْ " .
