رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " لا تُدْخِلُوا الْمَدِينَةَ مِنَ السَّبْيِ إِلا الْوُصَفَاءَ " ، قَالُوا : إِنَّ عَمَلَ الْمَدِينَةِ شَدِيدٌ لا يَسْتَقِيمُ إِلا بِالْعُلُوجِ " .
