رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ حَدِّ الأَمَةِ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : " إِنَّ الأَمَةَ نَبَذَتْ فَرْوَتَهَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ الدَّارِ " ، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى : " مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْجِدَارِ " .
