سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ الطُّوسِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ بَكَّارٍ ، يَقُولُ : " وَقَلِيلُ الْوَفَا وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيرًا حَظٌّ جَزِيلٌ " .
