وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَمْرِو بْنَ مِصْرٍ حَكَى هَذِهِ الْحِكَايَةَ ، وَقَالَ فِيهَا : فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ : " سَبَقْتَنَا بِالْوُدِّ ، وَالسَّابِقُ بِالْوُدِّ لا يُكَافَأُ " .
