وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ ، سَمِعْتُ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ الْجُرَيْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : " لا يَشُمُّ رَائِحَةَ الصِّدْقِ عَبْدٌ دَاهَنَ نَفْسَهُ ، أَوْ دَاهَنَ غَيْرَهُ " .
