سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَحْمَدَ الْفَرَّاءَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَنَازِلٍ ، يَقُولُ : " الْمُؤْمِنُ يَطْلُبُ عُذْرَ إِخْوَانِهِ ، وَالْمُنَافِقُ يَعْتِبُ عَثَرَاتِهِمْ " .
