بَرِيدًا مِنَ الشَّامِ فَجَعَلَ عُمَرُ يَسْتَخْبِرُهُ فَقَالَ : " أَيُعَجِّلُونَ الإِفْطَارَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَالَ : أَمَا إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يَزَالُوا بِخَيْرٍ مَا كَانُوا كَذَلِكَ وَلَمْ يَتَنَطَّعُوا تَنَطُّعَ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ " .
