. الْهَفَّافَةُ : السَّرَيعَةُ الْمَرِّ ، يُقَالُ : هَفَّتْ ، تَهِفُّ هَفِيفًا ، قَالَ ذُو الرُّمَّةِ : إِذَا مَا نَعَسْنَا نَعْسَةً قُلْتُ غَنِّنَا بِخَرْقَاءَ وَارَفَعْ مِنْ هَفِيفِ الرَّوَاحِلِ .
