، أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى كَتَبَ إِلَى عُمَرَ فِي رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَتَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ : " إِنْ كَانَ ضَارِيًا بِقَتْلِ النَّاسِ فَاقْتُلْهُ بِهِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ إِنَّمَا هِيَ طَيْرَةٌ مِنْهُ ، فَأَغْرِمْهُ أَرْبَعَةَ آلَافٍ " .
