قَالَ مُحَمَّد بْن عائذ : وَحَدَّثَنِي إسماعيل بْن عياش ، عَن صفوان بْن عمرو ، عَن أَبِي حسبة : " أن عمرو بْن معاوية العقيلي كَانَ وهو عَلَى الجيش ينزل فيواسي أصحابه بسوق السبي والجزر والرمك مشمرا عَن ساقيه " .
