وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى الشَّعْبِيِّ فَشَتَمَهُ فِي مَلأٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ , فَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ : " إِنْ كُنْتَ صَادِقًا فَغَفَرَ اللَّهُ لِي , وَإِنْ كُنْتَ كَاذِبًا فَغَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ " .
