حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَفْضَلَ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْنٍ " .
