رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : " أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَأَخُو رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، لَا يَقُولُهَا بَعْدِي إِلَّا مُفْتَرٍ كَذَّابٌ " ، فَقَالَهَا رَجُلٌ فَأَصَابَتْهُ جِنَّةٌ فَجَعَلَ يَضْرِبُ رَأْسَهُ فِي الْجُدْرَانِ حَتَّى مَاتَ .
