رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : مَرِضْتُ فَعَادَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " قُلِ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ تَعْجِيلَ عَافِيَتِكَ ، وَصَبْرًا عَلَى بَلِيَّتِكَ ، وَخُرُوجًا إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ " ، فَقُلْتُهَا فَقُمْتُ كَأَنَّمَا نَشِطْتُ مِنْ عِقَالٍ .
