مِنَ الرِّقَةِ إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ ، فَمَا أَتَى عَلَيْنَا يَوْمٌ إِلا وَهُوَ يُنْشِدُنَا شِعْرًا ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْمَعَارِيضِ مَنْدُوحَةً عَنِ الْكَذِبِ " .
