أَنْشَدَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الإِسْكَافِيُّ : " إِذَا اعْتَذَرَ الْجَانِي مَحَا الْعُذْرُ ذَنْبَهُ وَكَانَ الَّذِي لا يَقْبَلُ الْعُذْرَ جَانِيَا " .
