وَحَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي ، قَالَ : وَيُرْوَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " سُمِّيَ الْبَيْتُ الْعَتِيقَ ؛ لأَنَّهُ عَتَقَ مِنَ الْجَبَابِرَةِ أَنْ يَسْطُوا عَلَيْهِ " .
