فَرَأَى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ خَلَلا فَغَمَزَنِي ، وَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ أَنْ أَتَقَدَّمُ ، فَلَمْ أَتَقَدَّمْ ، وَجَعَلْتُ أُضَيِّقُ بِمَكَانِي إِلَى جَانِبِهِ لأَجْلِسَ فَأَسْمَعَ مِنْهُ ، فَلَمَّا رَآنِي لا أَتَقَدَّمُ تَقَدَّمَ هُوَ " .

شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
