حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " سَمِعْتُ مِنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ ثَلاثَةَ أَحَادِيثَ : وَاحِدًا نَسِيتُهُ ، وَآخَرَ شَكَكْتُ فِيهِ ، وَوَاحِدًا حَفِظْتُهُ " .
