قَالَ : وَأَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لأَبِي شَيْبَةَ الْقَاضِي : قَدْ وَلِيَ شَرِيكٌ قَضَاءَ الْكُوفَةِ ، قَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَجْعَلْهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ حَمَّادٍ ، إِنَّهُ لَوْ أَتَاكُمْ أَصْحَابُ حَمَّادٍ رَأَيْتُمْ مَا تُنْكِرُونَ " .
