وَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ فِي سَهْمِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى : أَنَّ عُمَرَ عَرَضَ عَلَيْنَا أَنْ يُزَوِّجَ مِنْهُ أَيِّمَنَا ، وَيَقْضِيَ مِنْهُ عَنْ مَغْرَمِنَا ، فَأَبَيْنَا ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ إِلا أَنْ يُسَلِّمَهُ كُلَّهُ ، وَأَبَى ذَلِكَ " .
