كَتَبَ فِي أَمْرِ الْجَدِّ ، وَالْكَلَالَةِ فِي كَتِفٍ ثُمَّ طَفِقَ يَسْتَخِيرُ رَبَّهُ , فَلَمَّا طُعِنَ دَعَا بِالْكَتِفِ فَمَحَاهَا , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنِّي كُنْتُ كَتَبْتُ كِتَابًا فِي الْجَدِّ وَالْكَلَالَةِ , وَإِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّكُمْ عَلَى مَا كُنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ , فَلَمْ يَدْرُوا مَا كَانَ فِي الْكَتِفِ " .
