قَالَ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي الصَّلْتُ بْنُ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ ، كَاتِبُ حَيَّانَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ , أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ كِتَابَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ , إِلَى حَيَّانَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ , وَكَانَ عَامِلَهُ عَلَى مِصْرَ " أَنَّ مِصْرَ فُتِحَتْ عَنْوَةً بِغَيْرِ عَقْدٍ وَلا عَهْدٍ " .
