رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ لِمَنْ وَرَدَ عَلَيْهِ : " هَلْ يَثْبُتُ لَكُمُ الْعَدُوُّ ؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : غَلَلْتُمْ " .
