رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَبِي مُوسَى : " إِنَّكَ لَمْ تَنَلْ عَمَلَ الآخِرَةِ بِشَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الزُّهْدِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِيَّاكَ وَمَذَاقَ الأَخْلاقِ وَدَنَاءَتَهَا " .
