سَمِعْتُ الْحَنْبَلِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ زُهَيْرٍ ، يَقُولُ : " سُئِلَ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ ؟ فَقَالَ : ضَعِيفٌ ضَعِيفٌ " .
