وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الَّذِي لَمْ يُدْرِكْ أَبَوَيْهِ أَوْ أَحَدَهُمَا، أَنَّهُ لا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَقُولَ : " اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا سورة الإسراء آية 24 قَالَ مَالِكٌ : وَقَدْ يَكُونُ الرَّجُلُ مَعَ أَبِيهِ لا يُرَبِّيهِ وَيَغِيبُ عَنْهُ لِلزَّمَانِ الطَّوِيلِ " .
