كَانَ يَقُولُ : " أَدْرَكْتُ النَّاسَ، وَهُمْ لا يَعْجَبُونَ بِالْقَوْلِ، " قَالَ مَالِكٌ : يُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ الْعَمَلَ، إِنَّمَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى عَمَلِهِ وَلا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ .
