قَالَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّهُ قِيلَ لِلُقْمَانَ : مَا بَلَغَ بِكَ مَا نَرَى؟ قَالَ مَالِكٌ : يُرِيدُونَ الْفَضْلَ، قَالَ لُقْمَانُ : " صِدْقُ الْحَدِيثِ، وَأَدَاءُ الأَمَانَةِ، وَتَرْكُ مَا لا يَعْنِينِي " .
