وَقَالَ وَقَالَ الْمُعَافَى : سَأَلْتُ سُفْيَانَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَدْرَكْتُ النَّاسَ مِمَّنْ أَدْرَكْتُ مِنَ الْعُلَمَاءِ وَالْفُقَهَاءِ ، وَهُمْ يَتَرَادُّونَ الْمَسَائِلَ ، يَكْرَهُونَ أَنْ يُجِيبُوا فِيهَا ، فَإِذَا أُعْفُوا مِنْهَا ، كَانَ ذَلِكَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِمْ " .
